Hello and welcome to my page. There have been many changes since I launched my TV show and that is probably why you find yourself here! Thank you for coming and thank you for following the show!
I have semi-retired from teaching fitness classes. The COVID thing forced me to change career paths and I am ok with that. The only thing I am doing at present, is A Little Bit Fit (the TV show). Some people have found me here that used to take classes with me and have emailed asking about how they can see my show. You don’t have to have a TV or cable to watch and enjoy it. THANK YOU to those that have reached out to say hello! I miss you all and I hope that you keep working toward your fitness goals. Keep moving at your own pace. Take the pressure off of yourself to make all of the changes all at once. That is a sure way to fail. Slow and steady wins the race my friends.

NEW YEAR UPDATE:
A New Year brings changes, sooooo….Remember how we all ‘pivoted’ at the beginning of COVID lockdowns and such? Well, I am doing another pivot. After much thought and soul searching, and I honestly never thought I would be writing something like this, I am going to pivot right out of the fitness industry as I have lived it for the last 8, closer to 9 years.
I am feeling very, VERY broken, mentally and physically. The uncertainty of COVID has taken it’s toll on me. I don’t think anyone thought we would still be in a pandemic, 2 years later, but yet, here we are. I am not sure when I will be bowing out, but I am quietly working behind the scenes to secure something that will not be effected by COVID lockdowns etc. Fitness is not a very stable business to be in right now, and I don’t have the financial backup of a spouse to help pay the bills. I honestly did think about going on Match.com to find a ‘financial backer’, LOL, but I don’t have the stomach for that anymore. I have been there and have several t-shirts, am fiecely attached to my independence, and it would have taken too much time anyway! Hahaha! So, I take the other road to more stability in my life. I needed to give you amazing people that take classes with me, and even those that don’t, a heads up. This is like the hardest break-up letter EVER, and I don’t even know when the full break-up is happening!!!
All of that being said, I still love what I do and even though I can’t do it this way anymore, I am not going to turn my back on my passion for fitness/wellness. I am going to turn it into educational/learning opportunities (workshops/seminars) about once a month…ish, for those that want to learn. I’m not talking about training people to teach classes, although at one point, that was on the table and might be again someday. I’m talking about teaching people that TAKE the classes, the information THEY need to work smart, not get hurt, and learn the right way to go about making changes, so stand by for that stuff.
On-demand will stay, with limited selections as I am not shooting anything new for the foreseeable future, but anything live/virtual live, will remain dark. Oh, my TV show will be staying. That HAS to stay!!! But, my priority right now is finding job security so not sure when the learning series will launch. Going back to the corproate world…selling out…I know…but I have to do what I have to do to survive this ongoing reality series, better known as, ‘The Walking Dead/ Hunger Games’. Seriously can’t WAIT until this show gets cancelled. May the odds be ever in your favour…OMG! Haha!

Welcome! I am Karen Ross and I am a fitness instructor, personal trainer, aquafit instructor, specializing in 55+ fitness/wellness. I offer a wide variety of virtual classes that are inclusive of ALL fitness levels!
Who am I? I guess you can call me a late blooming fitness/wellness nerd. I was never the athletic kid growing up. I was the ‘fat kid’ but did roller skate competitively for most of my teen years and I loved every minute of it. But after I stopped skating, my activity level went down hill, fast, and then came kids and you get put on the back burner.
I have struggled with excess body fat my entire life. I have tried every fad diet out there. I always lost the weight, but you can’t live on a fad diet forever and as soon as I went back to living in the real world, the weight would come back. We have all been there, but yet, we continue to give our hard earned dollars to snake oil salespeople. Let’s not do that anymore.
Here’s a little science for you. Getting right down to it, it’s not even so much about how much you weigh, but what you are make of! Really!! The only thing the scale tells you is how much gravitational pull you have on planet Earth. It doesn’t tell you WHAT you are made of. This is what you need to know. You need body fat. It’s there for reasons you need to learn about. You need lean muscle tissue. That’s how your body is able to move your joints. Again, the scale doesn’t give you this information. It’s not really rocket science as to how you go from not healthy to healthy. It’s pretty simple really. Move & eat well. I have learned a lot over the past 9 years and I want to share that with you.
Why do I choose to do what I do? My fitness/wellness career started out of necessity to make myself well. 9 years ago I was at the lowest point in my life and felt like I was already dead. A health crisis set me on the path to health and wellness, the right way, not the quick fix snake oil way
